In the afternoon of May 8, 2007, the Mitsubishi logistics delegation led by Chairman Naoshi Ban paid a visit to Saigon Newport Company. The General Director Nguyen Dang Nghiem, vice General Director Ngo Trong Phan and Representatives of Departments received the delegation.
Mr Naoshi Ban had a brief introduction of establishment history and development of Mitsubishi Logistics Corporation. The corporation was established 120 years ago and is one of Japan leading Corporations of Container Yard, warehousing, Logistics services and also functioning of port exploitation and office building service. Mr. Naoshi expressed his desire for seeking cooperation opportunities to develop Logistics branches in Vietnam in the coming time and contributing to significant economic development of Vietnam. Mitsubishi has had its representative office in Vietnam since April.
Accompanying with Mr. Naoshi has also attendance of Mr. Koji Yoneyama-General Manager of International transport Division, Mr. Masao Fujikura-Manager International Transport Division, Mr. Yasuhico Seshimo-Managing Director of Asia Regional Management, Mr. Megumi Fusisawa – Chief Representative in Vietnam and Mr. Nghiem Minh Tien – Deputy Director of Vietfratch – HCM City Branch.
General Director of Saigon Newport Company introduced the premises of SNP, strategic development orientation and especially ICD development of the Company. Mr. Nghiem expressed his belief on SNP advantages and cooperation between SNP and Mitsubishi will bring good results to two parties in the field of logistics.
Mr. Naoshi Ban expressed his sincere thanks to SNP Board of Directors for its warm welcome. After the meeting with SNP Director Board at the head office, the delegation paid a visit to Cat Lai port – the significant container port of Saigon Newport.
