Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal Co. Ltd. – TCIT – is a joint venture of Saigon Newport Corporation and three shipping lines including Mitsui O. S. K. Lines (Japan), Hanjin Shipping (Korea), and Wanhai Shipping (Taiwan). The Investment Certificate was granted by the Vietnam Government in September 2009, with capital investment about USD 100 million, equivalent to around VND 2,000 billion.
Since the first vessel called to TCIT in January 2011, it has continued to improve its operational performance and services. As the resulf, the total throughput of TCIT in 2012 reached 275,000 TEUs, hold 38% market share with more than 200 mother vessels called at TCIT. the total output reached an impressive increase of 62.7% in comparision with the previous year.
In 2012, TCIT will strive to improve its performance and services to meet customers and shipping lines’ need.
