In December, Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD maintained the good growth speed and improved the service quality . The company has prepared for the action plan of the Customer Year – 2011 of Saigon Newport Corporation.
Regarding business operation, in December, total warehouse throughput increased 13.17% compared to those of Nov. In which, the volume of the general warehouse, CFS and bonded warehouse increased by 45.86%; 4.54 % and 22.75% respectively.
The demand for the cargo storage in the end of year has been remarkably increasing. The free warehouse space is only 2% over the total of 90,000 sqm. The occupancy capacity is more than 98%.
To serve the high demand of goods prepared for the Tet Holiday, the cargo inspected at the concentrated customs inspection area has been raising up sharply. The total number of inspected cargoes increased by 13.21% in comparison with the quantity of Nov. To meet the increasing demand of the customers for weighting the import and export containers, Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD cooperates with Long Binh Tan customs branch to install and manage an 80 –ton weighing bridge at the gate of Tan Cang – Long Binh ICD.
In respect of the construction projects, the 20-hectare agricultural warehouse of Long Binh project -phase II is under the setting up frame phases. After completing, this is regarded as the promising place for the storage of agricultural products especially in the peak seasons.
The proof and frame of the warehouse No.9 is going to complete. It is estimated that the warehouse shall be completed and operational in mid of Feb, 2011.
